[OPENED] Hagersville Millennium Clock Time Capsule - Hagersville, ON - Time Capsules on Waymarking.com

This time capsule was placed on January 1st, 2000 to mark the Millennium. The capsule is to be opened in 2025 (two years from now!)

The clock and capsule were placed by the Hagersville & District Chamber of Commerce and grants from the Government of Canada.

[OPENING UPDATE]: The time capsule was opened on Sunday, January 5th, 2025 at a ceremony celebrating Hagersville's 150th anniversary.

"When the capsule was opened, most of the contents—newspapers, photos, and writings—were damaged by water over the past 25 years. Despite this, the ceremony was a symbolic moment for the town, reminding everyone of Hagersville’s strong community spirit."
