This Zinc Headstone is located in Cowlesville Cemetery, located just north of town on Lapp Road.
The stone tells a sad year for George M. Schneckenburger, whose wife Rosa M. Cornell, died just months after their daughter was born on March 5th, 1890 at the age of 25. Their daughter, Hazel Rosa Schneckenburger died in on November 1st of 1890, at only 9 months and 10 days old.
The stone features the images of an anchor and ornate hanging item on the other sides. It was placed in 1891.
On a happier note, some research online shows that George eventually remarried and had at least 3 more children before passing away in 1931.
