Accompanied by color photographs, two sections on its south side explain the importance of "Laguna de Bávaro - The Bavaro Lagoon" and "Arrecifes de Coral - Coral Reefs". A particularly interesting bit is that the lagoon is the only place in the world where the Black-and-blue Pupfish (Cyprinodon higuey) has been identified.
