Veterans Home Cemetery is in the Retsil neighborhood of Port Orchard, bisected by Olney Road; the section containing the Spanish-American War obelisk is on the east side of the cemetery.

The United Spanish War Veterans, the organization that donated this obelisk, no longer exists; its last living member died in 1992.
