Gólosa , voices in Russian, is a road movie in the tone of a black comedy that asks questions about war and violence.
Steven Lance, Víctor Castilla, Lucía G. Lara and Tirititando de Luisa star in this story written and directed by Ángel Velasco for Factoría Echegaray, a production that this Friday, a week and a half after its premiere, has opened its doors to the media in the rehearsal room at Bodegueros 38.
The municipal scenic nursery changes register and puts on a very cinematic theater piece, with humor, gestures and Russian poetry contained within original songs that are played live. Gólosa opens on Wednesday , May 17 at the Echegaray Theater , which will host the play until Saturday the 27th .

Ángel Velasco , supported by Sara Suárez as assistant director, composes a synchronized and agile staging, hilarious at times, reflective in the background, in which a narrator (Lucía G. Lara) recounts the adventures of a driver ( Steven Lance) who comes across a corpse (Lucía) and different characters (a Uruguayan hitchhiker, a policeman, a shopkeeper, a gas station man and an old woman, all played by Víctor Castilla) on his journey.

The voice and guitar of a singer-songwriter from the East that slips through the car radio (Tirititando de Luisa, playing on stage songs about Russian poets set to music by her and by Velasco) surrounds all the action, developed in a set designed by Marina Calvo and illuminated by Garikoitz Lariz, some tables that will have few physical elements but will have numerous visual and sound supports with which to immerse the public in the plot.
"Like Odysseus returning from Troy, someone drives at full speed, with a corpse in the back seat, trying to escape the violence. In the style of a road movie, our man crosses a desert all too familiar, because nothings are always the same, finding a lot of well-known characters in situations as crazy as they are surprisingly close. Because this work is called Gólosa, which is the Western spelling of the word 'voices' in Russian", explained Ángel Velasco from Malaga.
Likewise, he added that "nothing too well-known is what it seems. At the same time, and thousands of kilometers from there, a singer-songwriter presents her new album of versions of Russian poets in a useless act against the war."
Gólosa is a proposal that moves in black humor and represents a warning against the darkest of the human being. A work that unites live music, Russian poetry, theater of the absurd and gestural acting to launch a song against all kinds of violence, from the war that a psychopath like Putin moves and against which there are also many Russians. even the most daily violence.
The 2022-2023 season of Factoría Echegaray
The seventh season of Factoría Echegaray began in November with the premiere of Hiraeth , a work by choreographer Carolina Márquez and composer and pianist Carmen G. Jara about the consequences for the environment and humans of the industrial and technological revolutions.

After the premiere of Gólosa , and already in June, this 2022-23 season will close Libidinal , a work with which Lula Amir reflects through the movement on the reasons for exhaustion, the trivialization and saturation of desire in the capitalist society of consumption.
Unicaja Banco presents Factoría Echegaray, an initiative of Málaga Procultura with which stage works have been produced since the 2016-17 season. In its six completed seasons and a seventh in progress, the municipal stage nursery has premiered 48 productions and has another two at different times of its production ( Gólosa and Libidinal ).
