Located in Brooksville, Florida next to the Brooksville Depot Museum is the Countryman Family One Room Schoolhouse Museum. This recreation of the first one room schoolhouse built in Hernando County in the 1850's is a museum conducting reenactments of life in 1800's and how it was conducted in a one room schoolhouse.
A guest book/sign in sheet is located just inside the front door on a podium for guests to sign. The one room schoolhouse has a recreated classroom complete with desks as well as exhibits on toys and games of the period and Native American artifacts.
