[ES] “Ingeniero de profesión, Karl vino a España en 1919. En 1930 fue a Pamplona a montar una fábrica y es por esa época cuando se casa con Elena Samper Amézqueta. En marzo de 1936 figuran censados en Madrid.
Karl se apuntó como Brigadista Internacional y se alistó en la 112 Brigada Mixta, llegando a conseguir el grado de capitán.
Dejó España, como todos los Brigadistas, en el otoño del 38 y no sabemos cuál fue su destino, no donde fue detenido.
Como dice su nieto, no fue español para los españoles ni alemán para los alemanes, ya que le quitaron su nacionalidad. Pero si hay constancia de su paso por el campo de concentración de Sachsenhausen, donde es probable que fuese asesinado, aunque tampoco se sabe la fecha. Sus datos figuran en el libro "Der Sonderbau" de Robert Sommer.
Su stolperstein se puso el 28 de abril de 2023 en el número 1 de la calle Viriato.”
