"Peace tree donated
SAARBURG. (red) On the occasion of the centenary of the Catholic German Women's Association, the Saarburg branch planted a women's peace tree. During the high mass in the parish church of St. Laurentius, which was co-designed by the women of the branch, the tree was the center of attention as a symbol of peace.

After Pastor Peter Leick had blessed the lime tree, Deputy Diocesan Chairwoman Fass-Kunatheine presented a commemorative plaque from the Diocesan Association. In her speech she reminded that peace is only possible in solidarity. Under the lime tree is a bench, which was also donated by the German Women's Association Saarburg."
