[EN] There are many scuba diving sites off the northeast shore of Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. A dozen locations spread along 10 miles/16 km of the Playa Bávaro (Bavaro Beach) coastline are about 0.5 miles/0.8 km offshore and run in a line -- from 18° 44.55' N, 68° 28.193' W to 18° 39.265' N, 68° 20.806' W -- where many vacation resorts are located. There are coral reefs with canyons and caves and a couple of wrecks. Maximum 40 foot/12 meter depth. Along with myriad Caribbean fish, marine life you may encounter includes rays, barracuda, turtles, and sometimes, manatee.

Sunken vessels to explore are Astron Shipwreck to the northwest and Monica's Wreck to the southeast. Reefs and rock formations include Rondana, Park Reef, and Cuevitas.

Note: Coordinates are at the boat launch of Dressel Divers at the Iberostar Selection Bávaro - Punta Cana resort.
