The R.M.S. Titanic was built in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The ship sailed to Southampton, UK before sailing to Cherbourg, France and Queenstown (now Cobh), Ireland to pick up passengers. Thus Cobh was its last port of call.
A bronze plaque on a monument commemorating Cobh as the the Titanic's last port of call is inscribed.
