The Cenotaph is near the 1st Gwandalan Scout Hall, and is a modest War Memorial with a Nautical Flag Pole next to it. On the central capped pillar is a gilt inscribed polished black marble tablet, with the following inscribed on it:

A cast rectangular bronze plaque is embedded in the brown brick work below it. Its raised and milled inscription reads:

Below that is a smaller, engraved brass plaque with white infill, which is screwed to a chamfered sandstone block/plinth. It reads:

LEST WE FORGET
The Cenotaph is set within 10 wooden posts in a white gravel base with galvanised chain linking all, but the two posts at the concrete path entrance. There is a curved low brown brick wall topped with sawn and faced sandstone slabs, with a modest central pillar, facing a small paved court of symmetrically placed pink pavers. The Nautical Flag Pole is immediately to the left inside the entrance.
