"History
The toponym of Brocuéjouls appears from 804 in the documentation. A priory was founded in the 11th century, probably following on from a large Carolingian estate. It initially depended on the Abbey of Gellone then, in the 14th century, belonged to Saint-Léons.

In 1349, Brocuéjouls is an annex parish of Millau. The church erected in the 11th century certainly suffered the upheavals of the Wars of Religion: in 1607, its bell tower and one of the vaults supporting it were built.

It seems that it was not until 1738 that the sanctuary and the nave were vaulted, the financing of the 17C works probably not having permitted this. After the Revolution, it was finally erected as an annex to the parish of Saint-François de Millau. A monumental cross is then erected in the cemetery. It is dated 1815.

Description
The church consists of a single nave on which opens a narrower quadrangular choir. A triumphal arch very slightly re-entering and which rests on monolithic columns crowned with capitals separates them.

The choir is lit by three bays, the main one, axial, has been widened. The bell tower is lit by a twin bay whose lintel, straight, rests on a double column and a capital, probable remains of the 12th century church.

The cemetery develops to the south of the church. In the center is erected a monumental cross. Its stone base bears a wrought iron cross, with flat iron, whose pole and braces, decorated with fleur-de-lis, are held by a rivet. The base, parallelepiped, is decorated with representations of Christ, of naive invoice, including a Christ on the Cross.

Le toponyme de Brocuéjouls apparaît dès 804 dans la documentation. Un prieuré est fondé au 11e siècle, faisant probablement suite à un grand domaine carolingien. Il dépend dans un premier temps de l'abbaye de Gellone puis, appartient, au XIVe siècle, à Saint-Léons.

En 1349, Brocuéjouls est une paroisse annexe de Millau. L'église élevée au 11e siècle subit très certainement les soubresauts des guerres de Religion : en 1607, son clocher et une des voûtes le supportant sont édifiés.

Il faut semble-t-il attendre 1738 pour que le sanctuaire et la nef soient voûtés, le financement des travaux du 17e s., ne l'ayant probablement pas permis. Après la Révolution, elle est finalement érigée en annexe de la paroisse de Saint-François de Millau. Une croix monumentale est ensuite érigée dans le cimetière. Elle porte la date de 1815.

Description
L'église se compose d'une nef unique sur laquelle s'ouvre un choeur quadrangulaire plus étroit. Un arc triomphal très légèrement rentrant et qui repose sur des colonnes monolithes couronnées de chapiteaux les sépare.

Le choeur est éclairé par trois baies dont la principale, axiale, a été élargie. Le clocher est éclairé par une baie géminée dont le linteau, droit, repose sur une colonne double et un chapiteau, probables vestiges de l'église du XIIe s.

Le cimetière se développe au sud de l'égise. Au centre est érigée une croix monumentale. Son socle de pierre porte une croix en fer forgé, à fer plat, dont la hampe et les croisillons, ornés de fleurs de lys, sont maintenus par un rivet. Le socle, parallélipédique, est orné de représentations du Christ, de facture naïve, dont un Christ en Croix.
