From Waymark WM181XT, hike west for 0.25 miles along the north side of an east-west fence line (so as to remain on public land) for 0.25 miles. The marker is located about 30 feet to the west-southwest of a corner fencepost, and about 20 feet to the west-southwest of the PRAIRIE azimuth mark set by the U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey (see Waymark WM181Y2).

The sixteenth corner marker is about 8 inches to the southwest of a T-post that has been driven into the ground and about 20 feet to the west-southwest of USC&GS azimuth mark PRAIRIE.

Private property to the southeast, Forest Service on all other sides
