A few years after Roger's tragic death in a plane crash, the Daughters of the American Revolution planted a small redbud tree at the Rogers gravesite, which is now part of a larger Memorial Museum complex at Claremore OK.

The tree is just outside of the main entrance to the museum near the parking area, a few feet away from the Rotary tree.
