This dove is painted on the memorial, which is a granite stone, resembling a large tombstone in the National Cemetery. The dove is flying and with an Olive branch twig with many leaves in it's beak.

Memorial to honor the women who helped Union forces in the Civil War, erected by the Julia Dent Grant Tent #16, Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
