Hempstead Harbor Woods is a trail system in the Town of North Hempstead. The green trail is the most difficult green trail on Long Island. There is a Blue Square, Black Diamond and Double Black. The main loop is about 1.25 miles and there are additional loops built off of that. Total of 5 to 6 miles. This site is a former sand mining operation.

These trails are quick switchbacks, drops and ascents of short verticals. These trails are technical trails. The trails are sandy, hard clay which takes longer to dry out after a rain with Boulders and a cement pipeline.
