Hempstead Harbor Woods is a trail system in the Town of North Hempstead. The green trail is the most difficult green trail on Long Island. There is a Blue Square, Black Diamond and Double Black. The main loop is about 1.25 miles and there are additional loops built off of that. Total of 5 to 6 miles. This site is a former sand mining operation.

 Short description of trail: These trails are quick switchbacks, drops and ascents of short verticals. These trails are technical trails. The trails are sandy, hard clay which takes longer to dry out after a rain with Boulders and a cement pipeline.
