A subtle black plaque on a boulder near the ruins of the Old Capitol at Old Capitol park in downtown Tuscaloosa lists the names of men and women who fought in or supported the Revolutionary War and who later settled in this area. The monument was placed jointly by the Sons of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
