Beleef de Amazone in Blijdorp! Het mooiste en grootste vlinderparadijs van Europa is een opvallend koepelvormige gebouw (circa 2.500 m2) waar het tropisch warm is. Er fladderen hier vele kleurige Zuid-Amerikaanse vlinders rond. Langs rivieroevers met tropische beplanting en heerlijk geurende bloemen waan je je in het Amazone-gebied. Een ware belevenis!

Je ontmoet er ook de indrukwekkende anaconda’s en bizarre matamata’s. Langs de oevers ‘zweven’ de sierlijke zoetwaterroggen en arrau-schildpadden in het ondiepe water. Maar pas op voor de bijtgrage piranha’s! Kortom, een zintuigprikkelende ervaring!

Experience the Amazon in Blijdorp! The most beautiful and largest butterfly paradise in Europe is a striking domed building (approximately 2,500 m2) where it is tropically warm. Many colorful South American butterflies flutter around here. Along river banks with tropical plants and fragrant flowers you imagine yourself in the Amazon region. A true experience!

You will also meet the impressive anacondas and bizarre matamatas. The graceful freshwater rays and arrau turtles 'float' in the shallow water along the banks. But watch out for the biting piranhas! In short, a sensory stimulating experience!
