This is a small but very popular museum in the center of Amritsar, a town that besides being the most sacred of the Sikh sites it's the gate to Pakistan by land, being the closes town to the single land border open between the two countries.

The museum is fully dedicated to the dramatic process of the Partition, which took place in 1947. Please check the detailed article abot the Partition in Wikipedia: (visit link)

Most of the exhibit is made of photos, with some artefacts and recorded sound of witnesses of the dramatic events which took place during the Partition.

Note that photography is forbidden inside the museum.
