M 355 (OU0308) - Campbell County, Wyoming - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

The metal rod is located in the northwest corner of the intersection of State Highway 50 with Van Buggenum Road. It is about 1.3 feet south of a fiberglass witness post, and is about 6 inches beneath the surface of the ground (as of my recovery in Spring 2023). About 5 inches of dirt was covering the marker when I found it, and I noted that the access cover had been snapped off of its hinges at some point in the past. The rod itself was completely buried beneath the dislocated access cover by a loose layer of soil. The rod itself is in good condition.
