The Orientation Plate is sited at the top level of a concrete slab topped brown brick thick 'wall'; but because there is a shallow dish at one end it looks like it would have been used for fish cleaning.

This might be the hardest Orientation Plate that I have transcribed (any errors are mine, and willing to correct). The locations are engraved into the metal (?bronze?) plate, but there is a lot of scouring, so it is VERY hard to read!! Going 'from the top':

- Magnetic North
- Skirmish Point - (Bribie Is.)
- Comboydrs Pt.
MORETON
* Pearl Chan.
- Cowan Cowan Pt.
- Mt Tempest
- Tangalooma Pt.
ISLAND
- Sandhill
E
- Mill Point (Stradbroke Is.)
- Mud Is.
- St Helena
- Brisbane Riv.
- Cribb Is.
- Nudgee Bch.
S
- Shorncliffe
- Taylor Range
