From the bridge over the Middle Fork Powder River at N43 36.670 W106 53.440, drive south and then west for about 3.40 miles, making sure to follow the signs to Outlaw Cave Campground and the Ed O. Taylor Wildlife Habitat Management Area (do not veer off onto any roads marked by private property signs). The marker is located about 200 feet to the southwest of a bend in the road; it is set directly to the east of a rock cairn and about 4 feet to the west-northwest of a T-post.
