Oklahoma Department of Highways benchmark-type disk O_56_1 dated 1967. Mounted on concrete post projecting 2 inches above ground. Benchmark location shown on recent USGS topographic map (Kiefer SW 1973) of area with an elevation of 1053 feet. Located on top of wooded hill on Tulsa Astronomy Club grounds.
To reach from Tulsa, go S on Highway 75 to just across the Okmulgee County line, turning right on 241st St/Ferguson Rd. Go W 7 miles until road bends to climb into hills, where it diverts NW for about 1.5 miles. Get permission from Tulsa Astronomy Club to pass through its gated entrance, continue to paved parking lot outside abandoned AT&T building and microwave tower. Walk E behind building to top of wooded hill and station disk.
