Three bronze sculptures around the Logan Fountain at the south end of Riverside Park celebrate the works of William Inge, the "Playwright of the Midwest." A fourth sculpture portrays Inge. This sculpture, at the southwest quadrant of the fountain plaza, portrays Marie and Turk from the play "Come Back Little Sheba." Marie, an art student, is seated on a bench with canvas and pencil in hand as she exhorts Turk to pose for her while she sketches him.
