These two tree-stump grave markers relate the challenges of life in the pioneer days. Howard O. Milnor was but thirty-four years at the time of his death. His wife Nora, whose grave is marked by a "Modern Woodmen of America" monument, died at age twenty-five. Her grave is inscribed "Wife and Mother" but the find-a-grave links do not give any information on their child. Both monuments are styled as vertical tree stumps with cut limbs, set on bases of four cut logs that are adorned with leaves and ivy.
