Religious building, parish of Corbera de Arriba. Its façade faces southwest and occupies the top of a hill where, in part, the castle of the Corbera barons was formerly located and possibly the old Romanesque chapel of which a section of socolada is preserved on some south-east walls. The octagonal bell tower that has a sundial engraved on the south face with an internal date in the reconstruction of the temple. It was transformed into a one-nave plan with side chapels in the neoclassical style. The bell tower has three bells called Maria, Magdalena and Thelma.

Inside the church the Image of Santa Magdalena is preserved. It is a Gothic image from the 15th century, co-patron saint of the town.

It seems that there are no data prior to 1295, when the nobleman Marimon de Plegamas built an altar dedicated to Santa María.
