El Castillo de Castelldefels siempre ha estado ahí, impertérrito, viendo el tiempo pasar desde el siglo X. Desde el pasado verano, además, también puede visitarse por dentro y disfrutar de una experiencia interactiva sobre los piratas. Durante las fiestas estará abierto del 22 de diciembre al 6 de enero a excepción del 25 de diciembre y el 5 de enero (de 10.00 a 18.00 horas).
El conjunto de las instalaciones del castillo, situado sobre un antiguo poblado ibérico y una villa romana, consta de una iglesia, construida en el siglo X y fortificada en los siglos XIV y XV; de diversos edificios y estancias, levantados entre los siglos XIV y XVIII: y de unos amplios jardines. Su configuración actual responde a la reforma que llevó a cabo su propietario, Manel Girona, a finales del siglo XIX. Sin embargo, poco a poco fue cayendo en un estado de deterioro hasta que fue adquirido por el Ayuntamiento de Castelldefels y empezó un largo proceso de restauración que ha culminado con su apertura.
Además de las propias instalaciones y salas, cuenta con una experiencia interactiva e inmersiva que se fusiona con el entorno, como si los habitantes del castillo de nuevo cobraran vida. Se trata de Piratia, un espectáculo multisensionarial que permite adentrarse en el mundo de la piratería y la lucha contra sus incursiones en la costa mediante elementos audiovisuales, escenográficos, lúdicos e interactivos
Los visitantes pasan a formar parte de la tripulación de un barco pirata y, gracias a ello, van descubriendo a través del juego elementos claves, como los ataques piratas, la defensa de la costa o los botines, entre otros. Otra posibilidad es llevar a cabo una visita cultural guiada o con audioguía.

In addition to the facilities and rooms themselves, it has an interactive and immersive experience that merges with the environment, as if the inhabitants of the castle came to life again. This is Piratia, a multi-sensory show that allows you to delve into the world of piracy and the fight against its incursions on the coast through audiovisual, scenographic, playful and interactive elements.
Visitors become part of the crew of a pirate ship and, thanks to this, they discover key elements through the game, such as pirate attacks, defense of the coast or loot, among others. Another possibility is to carry out a guided or audio-guided cultural tour.
