[FR] Description du monument : Le Monument aux Morts est constitué d’un obélisque reposant sur un socle de forme trapézoïdale dominant trois niveaux d’assise, les deux plus bas constituant emmarchement.
Le sommet de l’obélisque se termine par un ressaut élargi ayant en son sommet une reproduction de Croix de guerre en pierre.
Sur la face antérieure de l’obélisque est gravée, sur 8 lignes, l’inscription principale. En dessous un drapeau (partiellement déployé et dont la hampe est inclinée base en bas à gauche et pointe en haut à droite) est sculpté en avant d’une palme (dont la base se trouve en bas à droit, dont le corps remonte ensuite le long du côté gauche).
Toujours sur la face antérieure, au niveau du ressaut entre l’obélisque et le socle, un fronton, en forme de triangle à sommet arrondi a reçu par la suite une plaque de teinte noire. Cette plaque rectangulaire, qui est ornée d’une bande tricolore à ses angles supérieurs, porte en lettre d’or : « 1939 – 1940 Gondard André ».
En dessous, sur trois des quatre faces du socle trapézoïdale sont gravés, dans l’ordre alphabétique, les 54 noms et prénoms des morts de la guerre 1914-1918 (l’ordre de lecture débute par le côté gauche, se poursuit sur la face antérieure et s’achève par le côté droit).
Le monument est entouré sur ses quatre faces par une grille métallique fixée sur un socle bétonné. Cette grille porte à mi-hauteur des reproductions de Croix de guerre (croix à quatre branches avec, entre les branches, deux épées croisées). Les unes portent au centre, regardant vers la droite : «l’effigie de la République coiffée d’un bonnet phrygien, ceint d’une couronne de laurier », comme l’exemplaire figuré au sommet du monument (reprenant en cela, la représentation figurée sur l’avers de la médaille). Les autres Croix de guerre portent au centre les dates « 1914-1918 » (reprenant le millésime « 1914-1918 » correspondant à toute la durée le la première guerre mondiale et figuré au revers de la médaille). En partie basse la grille comporte des imitations de rubans, avec double bandeau incurvé ainsi que des nœuds.
Des reproductions de Croix de guerre surmontent également les quatre obus de 250 mm installés à l’extérieur contre les angles de la grille métallique.

[EN] Description of the monument: The War Memorial consists of an obelisk resting on a trapezoidal base with three levels of seating, the two lower ones constituting a step.
The top of the obelisk ends in a widened projection with a stone reproduction of the Croix de Guerre at its summit.
On the front of the obelisk is engraved, on 8 lines, the main inscription. Underneath, a flag (partially unfurled and whose staff is inclined, with its base on the lower left and its point on the upper right) is sculpted in front of a palm (whose base is on the lower right, whose body then goes up along the left side).
Still on the front face, at the level of the projection between the obelisk and the base, a pediment, in the shape of a triangle with a rounded top, was later given a black plate. This rectangular plaque, which is decorated with a tricolor band at its upper corners, bears in gold letters: "1939 - 1940 Gondard André".
Underneath, on three of the four sides of the trapezoidal base, are engraved, in alphabetical order, the 54 names and surnames of the dead of the 1914-1918 war (the reading order starts on the left side, continues on the front side and ends on the right side).
The monument is surrounded on its four faces by a metal grid fixed on a concrete base. This grid bears reproductions of the Croix de Guerre (four-pointed cross with two crossed swords between the branches) at mid-height. Some of them have in the center, looking to the right: "the effigy of the Republic wearing a Phrygian cap, girded with a laurel wreath", like the one on the top of the monument (taking up the representation on the obverse of the medal). The other Croix de Guerre bear the dates "1914-1918" in the center (repeating the year "1914-1918" corresponding to the entire duration of the First World War and shown on the reverse of the medal). In the lower part of the grid, there are imitation ribbons, with double curved bands and knots.
Reproductions of the Croix de Guerre also surmount the four 250 mm shells installed on the outside against the corners of the metal grid.
