The Broadway Theater is located in downtown Mount Pleasant, Michigan. It was constructed in 1919 as a opera house and film theater. The building had a colorful mural on the ceiling (since covered), orchestra pit and dressing rooms underneath the stage. The current marquee was placed in the 1940s. The theater was saved in 2000 by the Friends of the Broadway non-profit group.
Today the theater boasts live shows and films, including Acapella performances, older movies such as Tremors and more.
