Tom Buidhe, pronounced tom booee, (the yellow knoll), is a 957 metre, 3140 foot high mountain in the Grampians of eastern Scotland. The mountain is a rounded height, north-west of the deep cleft of Glen Doll, and with sufficient drops all around to give it Munro status as a 3,000 foot high mountain. The summit is relatively flat, and marked by a pile of stones. It lies in the mountainous north-west part of Angus, close to the border with Aberdeenshire. The neighbouring mountain of Tolmount lies less than a mile to the north on the border.

STEEPNESS: Moderate slopes all around, steepest to the north.

TERRAIN: Relatively easy grass, boggy in some places.

ACCESSIBILITY: Closest from Glen Doll (4 miles) from the south-east along Jock's Road which passes a mile to the east on its way to Braemar. Other approaches are possible from Glen Callater to the north and Glen Shee to the west, but these are longer.

NAVIGATION: After climbing up from Glen Doll along Jock's Road it is a mile east along pathless grass, crossing the White Water, then an ascent up the easy south-eastern gradient. Coming from Tolmount to the north requires a descent south-west, then an ascent south-east to avoid the steeper northern slope.

DANGER: In mist the summit could be hard to find given the flattish terrain.

Altitude in Feet: 3140
