Se halla en el recinto de un edificio construido en el año 1905 por una familia de Indianos, llamado el Palau Novella. Este paso a manos de la comunidad budista Sakya Tashi Ling que se dedico a restaurar el edificio e instalar en el su santuario y museo.

La construcción del ahora monasterio terminó a finales de 1890, sin embargo 3 años después la filoxera atacó severamente a los cultivos de la zona, causando la ruina total de la colonia. En 1896 el edificio salió a subasta pública, pero nadie pujó por él, haciendo que toda la colonia cayera en el abandono más absoluto.

Tras un siglo inhabitado, la comunidad de Monjes Budistas Sakya Tashi Ling empezaron a acondicionar la zona con el propósito de devolver el valor histórico y cultural de la colonia y, a la vez, convertirlo en un nexo con el conocimiento budista debido al entorno tan poderoso que posee.

Además de la rehabilitación del edificio principal, los Monjes también han construido dos estupas tradicionales budistas, lugares altamente energéticos en los que pasear, meditar y recargar tus energías. En concreto, en el templo budista del Garraf encontrarás un Namgyal -o Estupa de la Salud- y un Jangchub -o Estupa de la Sabiduría-.

In addition to the rehabilitation of the main building, the Monks have also built two traditional Buddhist stupas, highly energetic places to walk, meditate and recharge your energies.
