The ghost town of Altona is about fourteen miles west of Kingfisher. Nothing remains save this cemetery (still active) and the long-disused church building. The site is maintained and well tended, including the building. I could find no history of the church itself, not even the denomination.
There are about two hundred and fifty grave markers here, each relating its own story. One can only imagine the tears shed at this one:
