Tiny pebbles, originally meaning small stones, have been transformed over time into one large mass of rock by calcium carbonate (CaCO3) and iron hydroxide filling in the gaps between the pieces of pebbles, "calcareous hornblende."
Tiny pebbles is sung in the Japanese National Anthem "Kimigayo", means "His Imperial Highness's Reign", as following;
May your reign
Continue for a thousand, eight thousand generations,
Until the tiny pebbles
Grow into massive boulders
Lush with moss
