From Waymark WM17X8V, hike for 0.25 miles at a bearing of 266 degrees to reach the marker. It is located at the bottom of a small subsidiary draw of a larger northward-draining basin that cuts through a large scoria plateau. The marker is about one inch to the south of a T-post.
Type of survey mark: Aluminum cap on steel pipe

A T-post is driven into the ground about one inch to the north of the marker.
