To reach the mark, I recommend parking about 0.53 miles to the southeast at a gate turnoff (N41 38.592 W105 46.550), crossing through the gate in the fence (onto BLM land) and hiking to the disk. Alternatively, one could park along the edge of the highway roughly orthogonal to the mark and hop the right-of-way fence. Both approaches afford public land access to the mark. The disk is set in the top of a square concrete post that is flush with the ground and is about 2 feet to the southeast of the original witness post mentioned in the 1947 description.
