Gymea Lilys are found only along the coast and surrounding bushland of the Sydney Basin, from Newcastle to Wollongong. The mosaic is beside a planting of these lilys & depicts the flowering head. The mosaic is composed of enameled metal plates cut to shape & connected to the stone underneath. The base supporting the flower is green, the flower red, white & a deep red/purple. It is in a shady spot & brightens up the garden.
A plaque attached to the mosaic states it was created by local artist Susan Erskine in 2017.
