[FR] L'ancienne collégiale romane Saint-Outrille (ou Austregisile), construite au XIlème siècle sur l'emplacement d'une église antérieure était desservie par des chanoines séculiers. Elle ne devint église paroissiale qu'en 1791 à la suite de la réquisition pour le cure constitutionnel, elle avait alors déjà perdu son vocable ancien Elle est particulièrement remarquable par la richesse de son décor sculpte et par le catalogue très éclectique des techniques de ses votes. On remarquera La croisée d'ogives du transept qui culmine à près de 20 mètres. C'est le seul élément gothique de la construction, il témoigne de l'influence angevine et rappelle que ses commanditaires ont vraisemblablement été les Plantagenets, Comte d'Anjou, suzerains de Chatillon-sur-Indre jusqu'en 1205.

[EN] The ancient Romanesque collegiate church of Saint-Outrille (or Austregisile), built in the 11th century on the site of an earlier church, was served by secular canons. It only became a parish church in 1791 following the requisitioning of the constitutional cure, and had already lost its former vocation. It is particularly remarkable for the richness of its sculptural decoration and for the very eclectic catalog of techniques used in its votes.
