Presbyterians have been active in Kemptville since the 1820's
The first minister, Rev. W.J. MacDowell, arrived in the area in 1845 and remained until 1857. The church was erected in 1851 during his tenure.
The church has seen several modifications over the years. The manse was completed in 1879. v and has been active in the community since then.
The building was updated to a furnace in 1891, and an addition was completed in 1904.
Today, the church has a vibrant congregation, with many groups and activities ministering to the spiritual needs of its congregation.
