EN: This transformer tower stands a few steps west of the entrance to the former Herznach iron mine.
The tower is located in a fenced area. It has two floors and a flat gable roof. On the south side it has a double-leaf wooden door with warning signs and fixings of insulators under the gable. On the east side, some insulators are also still in place. On the north side, overhead wires apparently still exist, but this side is not accessible. On the west side is a concrete annex painted blue. In the 2014 pictures from "https://www.swisstrafos.ch", this annex is not yet present. According to this website, the tower was built in 1943.
DE: Dieser Transformatorenturm steht ein paar Schritte westlich des Eingangs zur ehemaligen Eisenmine Herznach.
Der Turm befindet sich ein einem umzäunten Gelände. Er hat zwei Stockwerke und ein flaches Satteldach. An der Südseite hat sie eine zweiflügelige Holztür mit Warnschildern und Befestigungen von Isolaturen unter dem Giebel. An der Ostseite sind auch noch einige Isolatoren vorhanden. An der Nordseite sind offenbar noch Freileitungen vorhanden, aber diese Seite ist nicht zugänglich. An der Westseite befindet sich ein blau gestrichener Betonanbau. Auf den Bildern von "https://www.swisstrafos.ch" aus dem Jahr 2014 ist dieser Anbau noch nicht vorhanden. Laut dieser Website wurde der Turm 1943 erbaut.
