The old Fire Hall in Kemptville is rather unique in that it was itself located in a converted armoury.

The building was erected in 1914 at the onset of the First World War, and served as a drill hall/facility until 1968. The local Fire Department converted the building to house its entire fleet of fire response vehicles, housing and offices.

The Fire Department operated from this location until 2005, when it moved to a new Fire Hall in Kemptville.

The building is available for viewing 24/7.
Current Use: Training Hall for Navy Cadets.

Year Originally Built: 1914

Year Retired: 2005

Is it open to the public?: Yes

Location: Kemptville, ON

Visit Instructions:
You must actually visit the building to post a log. Post your own, current photo of the converted firehouse as proof of your visit. It can't be the exact same photo that is on the waymark page.
