Op het strand van Oostkapelle bij de strandingang Duinweg is een post van de strandwacht. Ze zijn niet altijd aanwezig, maar wel elke dag in het hoogseizoen.

De SSV (Stichting Strandexploitatie Veere) beheert, exploiteert en bewaakt de stranden van Oostkapelle. Zij zorgt voor de vele voorzieningen op het strand zoals de strandcabines, loopplanken, prullenbakken, toiletten, douches en speeltoestellen. Zij heeft zelfs een strandrolstoel.

Ook de strandwacht valt onder de SSV. Bij hen kunt u onder andere terecht voor uw (kleine) verwondingen en de verhuur van ligbedden, stoelen, parasols en windschermen. De strandwacht is in het hoogseizoen dagelijks aanwezig van 10.00 uur tot 18.00 uur op de stranden waar een rood/gele vlag wappert.

The SSV (Stichting Strandexploitatie Veere) manages, exploits and monitors the beaches of Oostkapelle. She takes care of the many facilities on the beach such as the beach cabins, gangways, trash cans, toilets, showers and playground equipment. She even has a beach wheelchair.

The lifeguard also falls under the SSV. You can contact them for, among other things, your (minor) injuries and the rental of sunbeds, chairs, umbrellas and windshields. The lifeguard is present daily in high season from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on the beaches where a red/yellow flag is flying.
