This statue of the Roman God
Neptune is most appropriately located at the entrance to Neptunes seafood restaurant at Beaches in The Bight Settlement of Turks and Caicos Islands which are a British Overseas Territory. It is about 8 feet tall and shown with a large gothic looking fish.
Namesake is obviously the planet Neptune which was discovered in 1846. It is the planet furthest from the sun and fourth largest in size.
He should be considered epic because even though he is a copycat of the Greek God Poseidon, he did get naming rights for a planet. He is believed to have been adapted into Roman mythology around 400 BC thought the planet is slightly longer ago at 4.5 billion years.
Time Period: Ancient
Approximate Date of Epic Period: 400 B.C.
 Epic Type: Mythical
Exhibit Type: Figure, Statue, 3D Art
