"A small post office in the Waikine store in Kane'ohe. The store is on the main highway through the community.

"Kane'ohe is a census-designated place (CDP) included in the City and County of Honolulu and in Hawai'i state District of Ko'olaupoko on the island of Oahu. In the Hawaiian language, kane 'ohe means "bamboo man". According to an ancient Hawaiian story, a local woman compared her husband's cruelty to the sharp edge of cutting bamboo; thus the place was named Kane'ohe or "bamboo man".

The population was 37,430 at the 2020 census. Kane'ohe is the largest of several communities along Kane'ohe Bay and one of the two largest residential communities on the windward side of Oahu (the other is Kailua). The town's commercial center is spread mostly along Kamehameha Highway.

Features of note are Hoomaluhia Botanical Garden and the Hawaii National Veterans Cemetery. Access to Kane'ohe Bay is mainly from the public pier and boat ramp at nearby Heeia Kea.

There are three golf courses in Kane'ohe: Pali Golf Course (public), Ko'olau Golf Club (privately owned but open to the public), and Bayview Golf Park (privately owned but open to the public)." (visit link)

Visit Instructions:
To post a log to an existing U.S. Post Office waymark, you will need to post a picture of the front of the building, with the name of the post office in the background if that is possible.

A description of your Post Office is required, such as when it was built, history, outstanding or unique features, population of the city or town, just do a quick internet search and find an interesting bit of information about the city or town and add it to the long description, to make it more interesting. Even just adding in the population of the area can give others an idea of how many people this post office serves. This description should be at least three sentences.

If your Post Office has any unusual or unique features that you feel others would enjoy viewing, additional pictures are always welcome.
Including your gps device in the picture is not necessary, but wouldn't be cause for disapproval, as long as all other details of your log are acceptable.
