As part of the larger "Art Goes Public" project in 2013, aimed at promoting exposure to and understanding of visual arts in Swaziland (now Eswatini), ArtReach has launched a new initiative in Ezulwini. With permission from the Ezulwini Town Board, ArtReach artists have been creating stunning murals on the bus shelters across Ezulwini.
This initiative aimed to transform public spaces in Swaziland into works of art, to bring art into the public sphere, to demystify it and make it more accessible to all. The bus shelters also worked to promote the artists involved, displaying their talents widely.
Note: I checked the coordinates - the shelter is still there but it has lost its artistic design since our visit.
