David W. Hathcox was but forty-two years of age at the time of his passing. His Woodman of the World grave marker is styled as a short tree stump with cut branches, set on a base of cut logs that are adorned with leaves and ivy. His wife Lummie, who outlived him by over half a century, is buried next to him.
