Saint-Calixte est une municipalité et une ville de la région de Lanaudière au Québec, au Canada, faisant partie de la municipalité régionale de comté de Montcalm, située à environ 70 km au nord de Montréal et 291 km à l’ouest de la ville de Québec.
La municipalité couvre un territoire de 146.70 km2 (56.64 sq mi). Au recensement de 2021, sa population était de 6 792 individus.
Colonisé à ses débuts par les immigrants irlandais, en 1845, l'endroit a d'abord été incorporé en tant que municipalité de Saint-Lin en se séparant de la municipalité de paroisse de Saint-Lin (aujourd'hui Saint-Lin-Laurentides), mais aboli deux ans plus tard.
En 1851, la Mission Saint-Calixte est formée, du nom du pape Callixte Ier. En 1855, la municipalité est rétablie sous le nom de Township Municipality of Kilkenny, prenant le nom du canton géographique dans lequel elle se trouve (le canton est formé en 1832 et nommé d'après une ville et un comté d'Irlande). Un an plus tard, en 1856, le bureau de poste ouvre, portant le nom de Saint-Calixte-de-Kilkenny depuis 1877. En 1954, la municipalité prend son nom actuel.
L’immeuble de l’hôtel de ville de St-Calixte est d’une construction récente, il a été bâti en 1992.

Saint-Calixte is a municipality and town in the Lanaudière region of Quebec, Canada, part of the regional county municipality of Montcalm, located approximately 70 km north of Montreal and 291 km west of the city of Quebec.
The municipality covers a territory of 146.70 km2 (56.64 sq mi). As of the 2021 census, its population was 6,792 individuals.
Settled in its early days by Irish immigrants, in 1845 the place was first incorporated as the municipality of Saint-Lin by separating from the parish municipality of Saint-Lin (now Saint-Lin-Laurentides ), but abolished two years later.
In 1851, the Saint-Calixte Mission was formed, named after Pope Callixte I. In 1855 the municipality was re-established as the Township Municipality of Kilkenny, taking the name of the geographic township in which it was located (the township was formed in 1832 and named after a town and county in Ireland). A year later, in 1856, the post office opened, bearing the name of Saint-Calixte-de-Kilkenny since 1877. In 1954, the municipality took its current name.
The building of the town hall of St-Calixte is of recent construction, it was built in 1992.
