[EN] It communicates both banks of the Sil river on the Santiago reservoir.

It allows the residents of the village of Penouta to approach the municipal capital in a comfortable ten-minute walk. In this way, they avoid the detour involved in doing so through the bridge for road traffic located 1.3 km upstream or crossing the reservoir dam located at the height of Valencia do Sil, 2.2 km downstream.

I crossed this footbridge several times, the first years ago when I went to see Penouta at the time when I had proposed to know the population centers of Valdeorras and its surroundings, and it has always been a very pleasant sensation, the serenity of the dammed waters and the gentle rocking produces a relaxing effect on me.
