A lo largo de su trayecto se encuentran algunos edificios y monumentos más emblemáticos en la ciudad, una de ellas es la Fuente de Cibeles situada en la plaza homónima, representando a la madre de los dioses olímpicos, símbolo de la tierra y la fecundidad, sobre un carro tirado por leones, también se localiza la Puerta de Alcalá, una de las cinco puertas reales que daba acceso a la ciudad de Madrid.

Con la cámara web en Madrid desde la Calle de Alcalá paralelamente se aprecia en vivo el Banco de España y el ayuntamiento principal de la Zona.”
