The Miljonenlijn is railway running on old tracks near the border to Germany. It central station is in Simpelveld, a town in the country Limburg. From the old railway station the lines are operated. The first starts in Simpleveld and ends in Schin op Geul in the west direction. The track to the east ends in Kerkrade and the third in south-east direction stop in Vetschau (Germany). The lines to Kerkrade are operated by a steam train and a trailbus while the line to Germany is operated by the railbus only.
The Miljonenljin has six different steam locomotives and two railbuses beneath some Diesel locomotives used for shunting.
The trains are running usually an Sundays between April and October, three times a day. Ticket are sold online and if avaible you can buy one at the counter in the railway station at Simpelveld which perfectly reflects the great area of steams trains.
