This green welcome sign is located on a grassy and landscaped island along South Water Street at the southern end of at
Talleyrand Park in
Bellefonte, Pennsylvania. Situated among a small boulder, a lamppost and an ornamental tree, the just-about-square sign with a half-round extension at the top center edge is mounted between two square wood posts. A relief carving of the town's courthouse clock tower is featured in that protrusion of prominence. Thin red scroll work bookends the municipal landmark and ties into a border line which frames the outer edge. Four rows of text are carved into the face and filled with color - with the exception of the gilded town name, the lettering is painted dark white, perhaps alabaster - and reads:
